Mearth, the first e-scooter developer in Australia, partners with Michael Clemente Motorsports to support the promising young driver Michael Clemente for the 2021 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour. During the Easter long weekend event, Mearth will be represented on the side view mirrors of Clemente’s Honda Civic Type R’s alongside major brands such as Wurth, Bendigo Bank, Total, and Michelin.

Since 2015, Mearth has been partnering with businesses and events to promote eco-friendly micro-mobile personal transportation to Australia. Mearth designs and develops innovative electric scooter models for a wide range of e-scooter riders, from everyday commuters to off-road travellers. After only a few years in the industry, Mearth electric scooters have gained recognition from the industry and the public for helping redefine transportation in the country.

The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour is the premier racing event for production cars in Australia. Despite its postponement last year due to the pandemic, the 2021 event will feature a total entry of 62 cars, 15 brands, and over 150 drivers. Among the racers, Shane Van Gisbergen, the current Supercars Championship leader and Bathurst 1000 winner, will also be joining the competition.

Racers will hit the widely famous Mount Panorama circuit on Friday, April 2, while qualifying and three races will be held on Saturday, April 3 and Sunday, April 4. Holding the event during the Easter long weekend has been a tradition since the 1938 Australian Grand Prix, the first racing event that started at Bathurst.

Part of the Bathurst event is the third round of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series where Clemente will be participating. TCR Australia is the local take of the widely popular Touring Car Racing formula adopted across the globe. TCR Australia features racing versions of 2.0-litre everyday C-segment types of cars from a range of auto brands, such as Honda and BMW.

This year, TCR Australia features 22 cars from the top and up-and-coming racers in the country. It will also be the first time that the event will be held at Mount Panorama. Overall, the racing series is one of the premier national touring car racing events that’s broadcasted on commercial television across the country.

The Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will be broadcasted live across the country via 7mate on Saturday, April 3 (10 am to 1 pm AEDT) and Sunday, April 4 (10 am to 5:30 pm AEDT). Other featured series include Radical Australia, Trans Am, and GT World Challenge Australia. An extended live and free coverage will also be available via the 7plus streaming platform.

Mearth’s partnership with Michael Clemente Motorsports not only shows the brand’s growing influence in the road transportation and micro-mobility sector in Australia but also its drive to support Australian talent and showcase them to the world.
